The Austin Film Society is now accepting applications for the AFS Grant for Short Films. This grant is part of our renowned AFS Grant Fund and is a unique opportunity for Texas filmmakers to make a career leap and join our vibrant and dynamic community of AFS Grant funded filmmakers.

Austin Film Society is committed to expanding the opportunity for filmmakers all over the state of Texas and will be holding three info sessions on Zoom.

Tasveer is excited to present the Tasveer Film Fund (TFF) 2023 for US-based South Asian Diasporic filmmakers. 

It aims to support and empower filmmakers to bring their scripts to life with monetary grants ($10K-$25K) and mentorship access. They offer awards in Short Narrative, LGBTQIA+ Short, and Documentary (under 40 min) categories.

The application cycle for the 2022 AFS Grant for Features is now open. Apply here by June 6 at 5 PM. Since its inception in 1996, the AFS Grant has awarded over $2.2 million in cash grants and more than $400k in-kind goods and services to 425+ Texas filmmakers, creating life-changing opportunities for artists traditionally underrepresented in the film industry and working outside large industry centers.
