AFS Grant for Short Films - Applications Open!


The Austin Film Society is now accepting applications for the AFS Grant for Short Films. This grant is a unique opportunity for Texas filmmakers to make a career leap and join the vibrant and dynamic community of AFS Grant funded filmmakers.

This grant includes the AFS Cash Grant (up to $10k in funds), the Harrison McClure Endowed Film Fund ($2,500) for undergraduate filmmakers, and opportunities to apply for an in-kind grant for MPS Camera and Lighting (valued at $10k).

There is no application fee.

Application Deadline:

Austin Film Society is committed to expanding the opportunity for filmmakers all over the state of Texas and will be holding three info sessions on Zoom: 

Filmmakers are encouraged to attend, if possible, to get a full picture of the application requirements.
