MANZANAR, DIVERTED: WHEN WATER BECOMES DUST is a story of solidarity by Ann Kaneko and Jin Yoo-Kim. In this documentary, three communities with shared histories of forced removal intersect to defend their land and water from Los Angeles. Filmmaker Ann Kaneko will be present for a conversation and Q&A following the screening. Doors open at 5:30pm with a reception including light bites and refreshments. Film screening begins at 6:30pm.

This program is co-presented in collaboration by the Austin Asian American Film Festival, Cine Las Americas, City of Austin Asian American Resource Center, and with POV, PBS' award-winning nonfiction film series.
