Meg Griffiths, filmmaker and UT Journalism and Media alumna

Event Description: Filmmaker and UT alumna Meg Griffiths returns to campus to present her acclaimed documentary, An Impossible Town. The film follows Dr. Ayne Amjad, who is thrust into a decades-long struggle to help Minden, a small town in southern West Virginia plagued by cancer-causing chemicals, after the unexpected death of her father. Driven by her father’s legacy to “help others,” Ayne embarks on an ambitious mission to relocate the town and bring closure to his work. The screening will be followed by a discussion and Q&A with the filmmaker.
